Electronic Business Programs prepare students to be leaders in the e-business world; enabling them play a variety of mission critical roles while leveraging the power of technology to transform business and society.
The program gives students a theoretical and applied foundation in both business and technology to ensure they can provide both technical leadership and an informed strategic business vision. Within that context, students can specialize in business, technology of social aspects. Students are taught by expert instructors with wide industry experience.
E-Business Technologies is a multi-disciplinary program between the Telfer School of Management, the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS), and the Faculty of Arts.
There is a PhD in E-Business as well as two master’s programs. One is a course-based program leading to the Master in Electronic Business Technologies (MEBT), the other includes a thesis and leads to the Master of Science (MSc) in Electronic Business Technologies.
Throughout the course of the program, students gain practical skills using a broad range of business software such as Microsoft Office Applications, IBM Business Process Management Tool and a lot more. Other skills developed during the course of the program include team work, presentation and time management. At the end of the program, some of the skills students acquire include:
• employing project management and change management tools
• developing e-business marketing plans (distribution channels, promotional programs)
• business process modelling
Another very important feature of the Master of Electronic Business Technologies Program is the COOP. Students in this program have the opportunity to gain work experience in their field through two paid work terms.

Options and Fields of Study
The E-Business graduate program offers two master’s programs. One is a course-based program leading to the Master in Electronic Business Technologies (MEBT), the other includes a thesis and leads to the Master of Science (MSc) in Electronic Business Technologies. Both programs include two streams to choose from: e-Business and e-Technology. All programs are offered full-time and part-time. There is also a CO-OP option available to both programs (MEBT and MSc) in both streams (e-Business and e-Technology).
• Master, course-based including a project: can be completed in 1 year
• Master of Science (M.Sc.), thesis-based, can be completed in 2 years
• Two streams to choose from: e-Business, and e-Technologies
• Full time and Part time
• CO-OP option

CO-OP Option
The CO-OP option is available to both programs (MEBT and MSc) in both streams (e-Business and e-Technology). Students in the CO-OP is program have the opportunity to gain work experience in their field through two paid work terms. Career Paths for the E-Business Graduates
Throughout the course of the program, students gain practical skills using a broad range of business software, as well as applied foundation in both business and technology to ensure they can provide both technical leadership and an informed strategic business vision. Some of the job opportunities for the graduates of the E-Business program include: Business Analyst; Data Analyst; Business Technology Consultant; Customer Intelligence Specialist; Data Scientist; Information Technology Manager; Quality Assurance Specialist; Business Process Development Manager; Business Performance Manager; Application Developer in Finance, Human Resource, Enterprise Resource, and Supply Chain.

Admission Requirements
• 4-year Bachelor degree in Business, Arts, Science or Engineering
• Minimum GPA of 7.0

Scholarship
Canadian and PR students with GPA 8.0 or higher average on their last 20 courses would qualify for the University of Ottawa Admissions scholarship.
